Common flag sizes in Austria are 80 x 200 cm, 100 x 300 cm, 100/120 x 400 cm and 120/150 x 500 cm for portrait format and 120 x 80 cm, 150 x 100 cm, 180 x 120 cm, 225 x 150 cm and 300 x 200 cm for landscape format. Of course, we can also produce your flags in any size you require.

No, there are also flagpoles where the flag needs hooks or a piping on the upper narrow side, but most flagpoles need a hemstitch finish. You can find detailed information in the description of your flagpole.

The hemstitch is pressed completely flat and then measured from the top edge to the first seam. This measurement is referred to in our descriptions as "measured lying down". The conversion key from the diameter of the mast boom to the hemstitch of the flag measured lying down is at least 1.75, ie if, for example, the largest measurable diameter of the boom is 40 mm, then the hemstitch should have a width of at least 70 mm when measured flat.

Yes, the hemstitch is always adjusted to the diameter of your flagpole boom, i.e. if the pole was not supplied by us, you must tell us the diameter of your pole model. Theoretically, we could make a very wide hemstitch for our flags as standard that fits all pole models, but if the hemstitch is not adjusted exactly to the actual boom diameter, the flag can collapse and therefore look very bad.

Before the era of cantilever flagpoles, banner flags were a widely used type of flag, as the flag surface was clearly visible even when there was no wind. A major disadvantage of banner flags, however, is the sail effect, i.e. this type of flag is extremely susceptible to wind and also has a very high static load on the flagpole. Therefore, it must be said quite clearly that cantilever flags in particular are "the" type of flag today.

For portrait format flags, we recommend that the bottom edge of the flag is about 3 meters from the ground, i.e. with a mast height of 7 meters above the ground, for example, the flag should be 4 meters, and with a mast of 8 meters, for example, a flag of 5 meters would be recommended.

The mast height always depends on local conditions, e.g. nearby houses, open spaces, wind strengths, etc. The most common mast height is 7 meters above ground with a flag size of 100/120 x 400 cm.

Flagpoles with rotating booms are the most modern and attractive form of flag display and are often used for company flags, as the flag motif is always clearly visible even when there is no wind.

Flagpoles are usually attached to ground sleeves or tilt brackets that are set in concrete. Alternatively, we also offer a screw foundation , which saves you having to hire a construction company.

If you are already using a complete beach flag system from Inter Fahnen, you can always order prints without poles/holders. Especially with our "Premium" beach flag poles , the prints also fit on systems that are several years old due to the high quality of our own production.

We supply most beach flags in the "drop" shape, but basically it is a matter of taste which beach flag model you choose. What can be said is that the "Wing", "Cross", "Bend", "Square" and "Portrait" models "flutter" more in the wind and thus achieve a very good signaling effect. The flag cloth of the "drop" models moves less in the wind, but the striking drop shape also ensures perfect attention. The sizes depend on the intended use. For indoor use, the system height 235 cm is mainly used, for trade fairs and outdoor use, beach flags with a minimum system height of 300 cm are generally used.

Yes, the stand for our table beach flag can be ordered as a spare part, via contact form , email or phone.

A beach flag cannot be used properly without a suitable holder. Homemade constructions such as umbrella stands or fixings with cable ties etc. can significantly limit the functionality of your beach flag or even damage it. Accessories from other suppliers will generally not fit, as the many systems on the market have very different mounting pins.

Since each supplier has their own cut adapted to their poles, such fabric pieces will almost never fit on our poles.

We can offer children's sizes S and L for the jersey numbers, as well as a children's format for the eco start numbers and also a children's marking vest for ski school operations. If you have a specific request, we can also send you samples so that you can choose the sizes yourself.

Especially for digital fabric printing, almost all of our fabric qualities are from a German manufacturer and Oeko-Tex certified. We also have very special printing materials in our range that are made from PET bottles, e.g. "Eco-Banner light" is a fleece-like material that we use for endless banners and start numbers. We can produce flags, beach flags, banners and decorative flags from the flag material "Polygreen", which is also made from PET bottles. We also use environmentally friendly, water-based textile inks for the printing inks. We are particularly proud of the in-house production of our "Premium" beach flag poles , which we produce in Salzburg, complete with all accessories, and are not imported from faraway China like most of our competitors' products.

The lifespan of polygloss quality flags with permanent flag display is on average around 6-10 months, but this depends heavily on regional conditions, so a flag may “live” for significantly less time or certainly longer than 6-10 months. As practice shows, two different locations, perhaps only 5 km apart, can have completely different “lifespans”. Damaged masts or hoisting devices, or when flags cannot blow freely and hit trees, masts, bushes or walls, for example, can also damage a flag. It is also important to regularly check flags for any damage and, if there is any, have it repaired immediately; this can also extend the lifespan of flags.

For locations exposed to strong to extremely windy conditions, we also offer a special fabric quality, our premium quality Polywind-plus (screen and digital printing).
This quality is currently the strongest flag material on the European market, ideal for wind-exposed locations, compared to flags in conventional, standard qualities available on the market, the service life of advertising flags made of Polywind-plus in continuous outdoor use can be increased by up to 100% - see durability diagram

Since flags are exposed to constant environmental and weather-related stress, such as UV radiation, sometimes extreme wind loads, acid rain, sometimes extreme temperature differences, air pollution and much more, their lifespan is of course limited and therefore no guarantee of durability can be given.

Our flags, beach flags and banners made of polyester can be washed in any household washing machine at 40°C using a branded detergent that does not contain bleach, e.g. chlorine. IMPORTANT: Before washing, the flags must be soaked in clear, cold water for a few hours, preferably overnight. After washing, they should be rinsed thoroughly with clean water. To dry, it is best to hang the flags dripping wet or hoist them on the flagpole.

These start numbers are also perfect for water sports, we supply this item for example for sailing and windsurfing or also for whitewater kayaking and kitesurfing.

No, absolutely not. If the flag is stored wet, mold spots can appear in a very short time. If the beach flag can only be packed up when wet after a "wet" event, it must be unpacked and dried immediately at home.

Since our flags are printed fully automatically from roll to roll and only then assembled, subsequent printing is unfortunately no longer possible.

Basically, digital printing is used for one-off orders and small to medium runs, lots of colors or photo motifs, special printing materials and short delivery times. For larger quantities, simpler motifs and when there is no deadline pressure, screen printing can possibly have a price advantage over digital printing.

No, unfortunately, these colors are not possible with any printing technology used for flag production.

Our flags are printed as best as possible using digital printing as standard or, for larger quantities, using screen printing, which means that the back of the screen print appears exactly as a mirror image with the same color coverage as the front. A double-sided flag is basically possible, which means that two fabric panels are sewn together with a blockout lining, but we do not recommend hanging flags on a mast as the durability is significantly reduced by the three fabric layers. Double-sided flags are generally only used indoors, e.g. at trade fairs, in shopping centers or as decorative flags in the POS area.

Our design templates must be used especially for shaping articles such as beach flags , start numbers , zipper displays , etc., otherwise the automated processing of your print data is not possible. If you are unable to use or process the design templates, our graphics department will be happy to create the print data for you and our sales department will be happy to make you an offer.

All digital print products are always printed in CMYK mode. If you require special colours, we only use the "Pantone Solid Coated" colour chart (adapted as best as possible). Especially for screen-printed products, it is highly recommended that you colour the vector/path areas in Pantone-C, as Pantone colours can be produced with a very high degree of colour fidelity in screen printing.

Digital printing is done in CMYK color mode, ie with the four colors cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Basically, any color tone can be created by printing certain proportions of the four colors cyan (light blue), magenta ("Telecom red"), yellow and contrast/key (black) on the printing material, e.g. a color photo.

Pantone Matching System (PMS) is the name of an internationally used color system that is mainly used in the graphics and printing industry. The color system contains around 1,900 special colors and assigns names to these colors in the form of numbers. As with any color system, the intention behind it is to simplify communication between those involved in the creation of printed products, as the exchange of information can be carried out quickly worldwide using the Pantone color numbers and regardless of individual color perception.

Complaints must be made within 14 days of receipt of the goods. This also applies to defects that are not externally visible.
